The Rules

TO PARTICIPATE:

To participate in the Contest you must:

Be registered as a Show & Shine Contestant at the 2012 Fergus Truck Show
Photo MUST be taken AT the 2012 Fergus Truck Show
Must submit Show & Shine Registration number when submitting Photos
Must be a High Resolution Photo (digital) and original must be kept if chosen as the winner. Photos will be provided to the Fergus Truck Show and all photos will become the property of the Fergus Truck Show.
Any angle of your Truck is acceptable
You must take a Max of 5 shots of your truck for submission. Only 1 entry per contestant. If your Truck is chosen as the winner The Fergus Truck Show will choose from the 5 pictures which photo will be used on the Poster
All entries become property of the Fergus Truck Show; entry constitutes permission to use the photo(s) in any manner The Fergus Truck Show chooses

CONTEST TIMELINE:

The contest Timeline is as follows:

September 1, 2012 – Picture upload will begin onto our web site
October 15, 2012 – Top 25 will be determined by the Poster Contest Committee and will be revealed on the Fergus Truck Show Web site and voting will begin
December 1, 2012 – Top 12 will be revealed on the Fergus Truck Show Web site and voting will continue. The pictures with the most votes will move to the next level.
Only allowed 1 vote per e-mail address
January 15, 2013 – Top 5 will be revealed on the Fergus Truck Show Web site and voting will continue.
January 31, 2013 – Voting will be closed
March 1, 2013 – Will announce the winner of the Contest through Facebook on the Fergus Truck Show Web Site, as well as being revealed in our first Print edition advertising.

PHOTO SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:

Photo must be no larger than 2 MB
Photo must be in a JPEG format
Any entry can be rejected at the sole discretion of the Fergus Truck Show Poster Committee
Photo may not be obscene or offensive, endorse any form of hate or hate group
Photo may not depict, and cannot itself, be in violation of any law

WINNER SELECTION:

All initial Entries until narrowed down to first 25 will be judged by the Fergus Truck Show Poster Contest Committee whose decisions regarding this Contest are final and binding in all respects, based on the following criteria (“Judging Criteria”):

(a) 50% Creativity

(b) 25% Composition

The top 25 entries with the Highest Scores will advance to the 2^nd Round to be uploaded onto the Fergus Truck Show web site to be voted on by the General Public (only 1 vote per e-mail address). The top 10 will then advance to the 3^rd Round to be uploaded onto the Fergus Truck Show Web Site to be again voted on by the General Public (only 1 vote per e-mail address). The top 5 will then advance to the 4^th Round to be uploaded onto the Fergus Truck Show web site to be voted on by the General Public (only 1 vote per e-mail address). In the event of a tie the photo that has had the most votes over the course of the voting process will be named the winner.

PRIZE:

ONE (1) First Prize: The entrant with the highest score will receive the first prize which is the winning picture featured on the 2012 Fergus Truck Show Poster, a Special no charge Spot at the 2012 Fergus Truck Show featuring the winning Truck, a specially designed “Mean 18” donated by Tramps Designs, recognition on the Fergus Truck Show Web Site and other Media outlets.

TWELVE (12): Top 12 entrants will be featured in a 2013 Fergus Truck Show Calendar

WINNER NOTIFICATION:

The winner will be notified by e-mail no later than February 25, 2012. If a winner is found to not be eligible or not in compliance with the Rules first place will then be awarded to the runner up. Sponsor is not responsible for any change of e-mail, mailing address and/or telephone number of Entrants.

GENERAL CONDITIONS:

BY SUBMITTING AN ENTRY, ENTRANT ACKNOWLEDGES THAT HIS/HER ENTRY MAY BE POSTED ON SPONSOR’S WEBSITE, AT THE SPONSOR’S DISCRETION.
